We often get asked for help around content ideas so we thought we would pull together a few of our go to tricks for helping you get unstuck and generating new and interesting content to build your brand.

Answer a question

Answer a question that your target markets often ask. Depending on the question you could answer it or ask your followers to take a stab at answering it. Another option is an online tool called ‘answer the public’.   This nifty online tool helps you come up with questions your audience wants answers to.  It does this by pulling together the most popular search results from bing and google. For example if you are a gardener or arborist you could ask ‘best time to prune a tree’

Take your audience on a journey behind the scenes

This is a great way to share what is awesome about your brand and how cool your team is. You could separate out your products or services and create one post per offering. You could also use this as an opportunity to address questions that are often asked in relation to your offerings. Another option is to post videos or images of your customers utilising your offering and talking about how it helped.

Showcase your customers

We think that posting about your customers and what they do that is great is a neat way to promote them. It helps to build on the relationship you have with them and shows them you care. It can also help to create a real sense of community.

Use video because it is the highest performing digital content on Facebook

Video has more views and engagement than any other form of post. The majority of video views have no sound so to catch people’s attention use text overlaid on your video. This can be the difference for your audience when it comes to continuing to watch or not. It can also peek their interest and motivate them to hit the unmute button.

Other helpful tips

Monitor what competitors in other parts of the world are doing

Make a list of 10 to 15 businesses in the same or a similar industry to you and document any content they post that is funny, interesting, useful and engaging. Check back on your list monthly and start to build a bank of ideas for future posts. Make sure you change the content to fit with your brand.

Take notice of insights ad metrics

Review your previous content. Gather insights via Facebook. Review metrics see what posts got the most engagement to create similar posts.

The more people take action on one of your posts the more your posts will show up in their newsfeed so it’s important to post things your fans would be proud to engage with and share. Feeling like a sponge and want to soak up more?  Feel free to contact us.
