Your guide to 4 sites that offer beautiful FREE stock photos

Good images are crucial to making your website and brand touch-points look great

Good images are crucial to making your website and brand touch-points look great. They also build credibility, personality and empathy with your target customers.  When visitors view your website or come across other marketing materials, they are making a snap decision on the credibility of your company. The images used tell a visual story about the quality of your products and services. This is your chance to influence your prospective customer through imagery to utilise your products and services.

Unfortunately, we’ve grown accustomed to seeing overused, generic stock images of people in suits, shaking hands, looking happy etc … and images that have been ‘done to death’. Not only are a lot of these stock photos lacking in personality, but they do not feel authentic and therefore don’t do anything to build a ‘feel good’ factor in relation to a brand. Custom photography wins hands down when it comes to conveying what you are all about and what you offer. This is especially the case if your competitors are using common, cliché - type stock photos that so many others use to promote their brand. Authentic photos of your team and offerings really do help potential clients to put real faces to the brand and help you stand out from the crowd.

Sometimes, due to budget and other constraints, it’s not possible to use custom photography. Thankfully, there’s been a growing number of websites that offer much nicer stock photography. Even better is, they are FREE! We’ve pulled together 4 sites that we think offer some pretty darn good free stock photos.
